Austin hits all-time record low for month of April
It hit 28 degrees this morning, an all-time record low in Austin for the month of April, according to the National Weather Service. Despite the frigid start, the temperature is expected to climb to the mid 70s by this afternoon.

An unusually heavy, late-season snowstorm will spread blizzard conditions from eastern Colorado to southwestern Kansas and as far south as the northern Texas Panhandle today.
Up to 2 feet of snow and strong winds will pummel some areas, threatening lives and livestock and closing roads and schools for days.
