A state of emergency was declared in Sarajevo on Saturday due to heavy snowstorms and freezing temperatures that obstructed the traffic in the Bosnian capital over the recent days.
Schools and the university will be closed until Thursday, 9 February.

Ukraine’s Emergency Situations Ministry said 18 people have died of hypothermia in recent days, and nearly 500 people have sought medical help for frostbite and hypothermia.
