Cooktown, north of Cairns, was 10 degrees Celsius at 6:00am AEST – two degrees below its previous record low.

Austin hits all-time record low for month of April
It hit 28 degrees this morning, an all-time record low in Austin for the month of April, according to the National Weather Service. Despite the frigid start, the temperature is expected to climb to the mid 70s by this afternoon.

Mar. 13–The cold air in the Mid-Columbia has set two records at Hanford this week, according to the Hanford Meteorological Station.
Wednesday the temperature fell to 19 degrees at Hanford, a record low for the date. On Tuesday the high temperature was only 34 degrees, the lowest high temperature on record for the date.

LEWISTON – A winter chill descended on the LC Valley Wednesday morning, setting a record low temperature at the Lewiston Airport.
The temperature fell to 15, breaking the old record of 18 set in 1956. The record low in Pomeroy of 12 degrees was tied.
