Some of us just had our coldest August night on record. Temperatures fell into single figures for most of the UK β low enough for a touch of ground frost in rural spots this morning.
In Australia:
The city (Sydney) woke to a chilling 5.5 degrees, more than 5 degrees below average for September.
This makes it the coldest morning of the year, and the coldest start to spring in 45 years.
Both Canberra Airport and Goulburn also experienced their coldest September nights on records, plummetting to -6.8 degrees and -7.4 degrees respectively.

Meanwhile it’s warm up in the Atric. Lowest ice levels since records began. Another blip.
