Top end cold snap blamed for hospital baby boom

A record number of babies have been born at the Royal Darwin Hospital in a single month.

In March, 197 babies were born at the hospital.

Northern Territory Health Minister Kon Vatskalis says he does not know what is behind the baby boom.

“I asked why and I was told it was a very cold July,” he said.
