Unusual March cold wave makes Maharashtra shiver

PUNE: Ahmednagar shivered at 7.3 degrees celsius while Pune recorded the state’s second lowest minimum temperature at 10.1 degrees celsius as a cold wave prevailed over parts of central Maharashtra on Thursday.

    I’m from Malta. A few days ago you reported about our record cold February. We are approaching mid-March and the temps are still, for us Maltese (remember this is the central mediterrenean sea we are talking about) very cold March. This follows a very cold second half of Decemeber, below average January, record Fevbruary and March marching towards a lower than average month. Every old man one meets says the same thing; I don’t remember such a cold winter.

    But I read somewhere else on some climate blog reporting some mad-cap cliumate scientist predicting 2012 and 2013 as record warm. As Yogi Berra said: It’s difficult to make predictions, especially about the future……………………….
