NSW has first snowfall of the 2009 season

NSW has experienced its first snow of the year, with five centimetres falling in the state’s Snowy Mountains the earliest fall in more than a decade.

Perisher reportedly had five centimetres of fresh snow, with the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) saying similar falls were recorded at Charlotte Pass.

    earliest snow since 1996?? where are you getting your references from? I hiked out to Sentinel last year on the same weekend at it started snowing on the sunday just after we arrived back at Charlotte Pass. It also snowed in April in 07, 05 and snowed in 05 in February!
